At what point would this be a good buy?

There is word they are looking for a buyout from another bank. There stock is at $2, I am waiting and if it hits $1.25 or so, i'm thinking about scooping a shit load of it up.

This is where all my business accounts are.

Any thoughts?

Don't buy banks period. May hit one or two but at this point no one knows who who anymore. A lot of good stuff to buy soon.

Betting that a certain stock will go down?

Is this allowed on a daily basis?
Is there a minimum bet of xxxx dollars or xxxxx dollars or exactly how does it work.
Iknow NOTHING about the stock market but if I were to study it and follow it; betting AGAINST certain companies; would be the only way I would go.

Yet I would hopethe buyers of other stocks make money. Just trying to understand.

Yes, day trading is allowed on both the long and short side. They will even let you short the financial stocks again.
Not sure the minimum. I think you can open an account for $500 or less. But if you want to short stocks, you will need a margin (credit) account. This can be somewhat of a pain to get. Probably easier to get with a large initial deposit.

The other way to bet against stocks is to buy PUT options. Costs a lot less, but is more risky and volatile.

Buying a $2 stock is like playing craps. If you go in knowing you could lose it all, and you are okay with that, then go for it.

I like Fitb at $10 too, but its about $12 today

I think most banks went up today, as expected with the bailout.

Those that thow up unreal numbers i think will balance out with some sell off in the coming weeks.

Wish I had bit on the 2.01 a share of NCC
